Alarm Monitoring

Our Security Control Centre supports clients for alarm monitoring over sophisticated network links and is manned 24 hours a day by experienced operators.

All types of data can be transmitted to the Security Control Centre, including computer alarms and their location within premises, equipment failures, opening/closing of remote sites, and client and user identification.

The benefits to our clients are:

  • 24×7 service

  • Rapid alarm response

  • Connectivity with all types of alarm systems

  • Immediate contact with our own guards and patrol services

  • interfaces with emergency services personnel

  • Full reporting to the client of all alarm conditions.

Alarm Response

On receiving an alarm activation, the Control Centre operator will follow the procedures agreed with the client. This may involve contacting the site's after-hours contact and/or immediately deploying Yates Security patrol personnel, and advising Police and emergency services (Fire Brigade, Ambulance, Power Authority, or Gas company) to attend. The Yates Security foot and mobile patrol units are in constant contact with our Security Control Centre operators via a two-way radio system. This two-way radio system is a priority system operated exclusively by Yates Security.

Security Control Centre Reporting

Our Control Centre always advises our clients of events at the client’s chosen time – this could be at the time of the alarm or the next morning. Any events, such as break-and-enters or attempted break-and-enters, generate reports that are transmitted to our clients, detailing our operators’ actions and comments, as well as all electronic information transmitted from the alarm system. All reports are electronically time-stamped and dated.

Our Control Centre also conducts its own tests, such as Late to Open, which occurs when a site is due to open within a specified timeframe but does not open within that timeframe. Our operators will call the site to check whether anyone is on site, as an opening signal may have been missed or the alarm system may not be functioning.

Voice Activity 24-hour-a-day recorder

All telephone conversations with the Yates Security Control Centre are recorded for legal and quality purposes. This system protects our clients and company against fraud in addition to providing vital information from the “playback” facility. The system also allows management to assess the telephone techniques of its team members.
